The romance is realistic, touching and uplifting. The cast are superb, led by Brian Donlevy who was in my opinion one of the best character actors on the screen. I also find Ella Raines to be an immensely appealing actor and her portrayal of the tragically widowed but feisty Marsha is a treat. But it is Charles Coburn, as usual, playing the crafty Lt. Quincy who steals the show. And if you don't find yourself cheering for Walter and Marsha by the end of this film, you must be made of stone.

The quality of this copy is quite poor, as are most of the copies on the market which I have seen. But it detracts only a little from the sheer enjoyment one gets while watching this cinematic feast by the Korda brothers. The story by Kipling is well known and widely told but still grips the imagination. The music by Miklos Rozsa, a master of film music, is a soaring delight. And to top it off there is Sabu...
Metamorphosis Rating : Posted by : Atemi Cast on Thu, 21 Aug 2008 00:51:06 -0400 This is a mad scientist movie. Kind of a poor mans ALTERED STATES meets THE FLY. All of the acting is sub par. If you watch Sci-Fi channel movies you get my point. This does not mean I did not find this movie enjoyable. There is some nice tense moments as well as a little lite gore. I did like the interplay with Dr. Peter Houseman and his rival Professor Lloyd. There are 2 twists at the end of this movie that will most likely have you rolling with laughter or groaning in disgust. Things to look for are several topless scenes of Catherine Baranov and rape scene staring the very beautiful (but for some reason shot in deep shadow) Laura Gemser. Peace and enjoy!

This movie was one of the many movies that was the inspiration for Tarantino's Kill Bill. Lee Van Cleef gives a great performance, but the man playing the other lead named Bill is trying to be Clint Eastwood the entire time. Once you get past is weird voice, you will enjoy what I consider the best Lee Van Cleef movie. After witnessing the murder of his family, Bill grows up and wants to exact revenge on the gang responsible. Lee Van Cleef has a score to settle with the same gang and they both set out after them after his release from prison. It's a buddy movie mixed with a revenge story mixed with a story of redemption set in the wild west. Enjoy!!!!

The fights are filmed at normal speed and there is no wire fu. The movie had a decent modern day story. There is lots of action, some gun play,and lite comedy. The actress Danna plays Donna/agent 7 and almost steals the movie. She is funny sexy and does ok martial arts. Plus she has several full frontal nude scenes(nice)! Favorite quote : Donna to Dragon The Special Squad leader Played by Bruce Li "You know, you look like Bruce Lee. You Should be in movies"
