another excellent sherlock holmes film basil rathbone + nigel bruce as always gives oustanding performances...as usuall Holmes, Basil Rathbone, patriotically serves British intelligence to thwart the evil plans of morarty whos now working for the nazis wont say to much on the plot but i myself enjoy watching sherlock holmes films Very nice and relaxing late night movie to watch 8-10

Sherlock fighting against nazis, er...right , maybe the writers of this took a bit too much of artistic freedom. Not a very good Sherlock movie, IMO.

basil rathbone and nigel bruce always a good combination. As for the comment about the complant about Holmes fighting nazis you have to take into account this was made in 1943. Everybody was fighting nazis.

Perhaps the authors retro bowl of this exercised a little too much creative license when they depicted Sherlock fighting Nazis. In my opinion, not a very nice Sherlock movie.
